MW Snap the Freeware Screen Grabber program
MWSnap is a small yet powerful Windows program for snapping (capturing) images from selected parts of the screen. You can capture the whole desktop, a highlighted window, an active menu, or a fixed or free rectangular part of the screen. MWSnap handles five popular graphics formats and contains useful graphical tools: a zoom, a ruler, a color picker and a window spy.

This Freeware program was written by Mirek Wojtowicz, of Poland in 2002.
- MW Snap's icon sits on the system tray (bottom right of screen) as a black camera.

- To capture an area of the screen,
- press Ctrl+Shift+A.
- Move the pointer to one corner of the desired area and click.
- Glide to the diagonally opposite corner and click again.
MW Snap's window opens, revealing the captured image.
If it is what you wanted, click the Save button. Otherwise minimise MW Snap and try again.
- To capture an entire window, panel or toolbar on the screen,
- press Ctrl+Shift+W
- Glide the pointer over the desired areas and notice the dotted line indicating what will be captured.
- Then click. MW Snap's window opens, revealing the captured image. If it is what you want, click the Save button. Otherwise minimise MW Snap and try again.
- The Help menu in MW Snap is very easy to understand and has very good pictures of each phase of the program's operation. It provides the best Manual you can get.
